Dino Duel

Dino Dual is a 2-player minigame accessed through the Extra Crisis menu in Dino Crisis 2.

Gameplay

It is a typical fighting game in the style of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, in which two players can play as dinosaurs and battle it out.

Combatants

• Allosaurus
• Compsognathus (secret character)
• Inostrancevia
• Oviraptor
• Triceratops (secret character)
• Tyrannosaurus
• Velociraptor

Compsognathus and Triceratops can only be unlocked for purchase by beating the game on Hard. Giganotosaurus, Mosasaurus, Plesiosaurus, and Pteranodon are not included as playable combatants.

Player 2 Colors

If both players choose the same dinosaur, player 2's combatant will be an alternate color from player 1. Player 1 colors consist of the primary colors from the main game. Among player 2's colors are white for Allosaurus, light green for Compsognathus, orange-brown for Oviraptor, gray for Triceratops, black for Tyrannosaurus, and blue for Velociraptor.

Trivia

• Interestingly, the player 2 Tyrannosaurus retains its right eye, unlike the player 1 version.
• Inostrancevia is the only non-dinosaur to be featured in Dino Duel.
